Workers Compensation Physiotherapy
Helping workers recover and/or return to work. Our focus is on achieving a safe and durable return to work and our physiotherapists follow workers compensation physiotherapy administrative procedures developed in conjunction with the Australian Physiotherapy Association. We have a proven track record of providing effective, evidence based programs that are benchmarked with validated outcome measures.
Tailored Programs
We recognise that each client has different needs; programs are designed according to the injured workers physical capacity/injury, work demands and the goals of their program.
Effective Communication The Key To Successful WorkCover Physiotherapy
When dealing with WorkCover injury claims IYM Physiotherapy practitioners regularly communicate between the nominated treating doctor, insurers, employers and any other necessary health professionals. By working in conjunction with the above parties with regular feedback and providing relevant information we smooth the return to work process and ensure tat you have the right support.
Common WorkCover Injuries
Some of the common workers compensation physiotherapy injuries we see include patients complaining of back and neck pain, shoulder and knee pain as well as foot, ankle, elbow and wrist pain. WorkCover claims may include patients receiving treatment for injuries that are the result of a specific incident or for injury from a repetitive or prolonged action causing an overuse injury.
How do I start
You will need to bring your WorkCover referral from your doctor indicating physiotherapy treatment has been prescribed. Once we have this referral, your workers compensation claim number and have confirmed this with your workers compensation insurance company we will bill your insurer directly.
